Enzyme discovery from the sea
Funded by DFF (Independent Research Fund Denmark) & Nordic5Tech
Summary: Marine microbes are a promising source of robust enzymes adapted to harsh conditions such as high pressure, low temperature, and salinity. This project aims to discover, produce, and characterize marine enzymes that can break down complex aromatic carbon. The research aims to improve our understanding of laccases in the marine carbon cycle.
Funding: Independent Research Fund Denmark and Nordic5Tech.
Duration: 2023 - 2029
